Kar Weng graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of Leeds, UK and was admitted as a Barrister-at-Law of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London. He also obtained his MBA in Entrepreneurship from University of Louisville, USA.

He started Macy Home Furnishings in 2001 and Macsk in 2010 which became a lifestyle brand with presence in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

He took over the helm of Minlon group of companies in 2012 as the Managing Director, steering its focus into property development and property management. Minlon has then built and managed several industrial properties, including Minlon Industrial Park, ML16.

Kar Weng has been honoured with various awards including Tatler’s Entrepreneur Par Excellence Award (2010), China Top 10 Economic Talent Award (2011) and The Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award (2016).
