Tan Sri Teo is a veteran property and hotelier. He is the director and owner of Bandar Utama group of companies, including Bandar Utama City Coporation Sdn Bhd, Bandar Utama Development Sdn Bhd, Bandar Utama City Assets Sdn Bhd, Bandar Utama County Sdn Bhd, Bandar Utama Neighbour Centre Sdn Bhd. His many notable property projects include 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Centrepoint Bandar Utama, One World Hotel, M Resort Hotel, Avante Hotel, The Capitol.

He also invests into other companies and businesses spanning across various business sectors including mortgage financing, golf and club management, logistics.

He is the current President of Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners (MAHO). He served as the Secretary General of Housing Developers’ Association for two terms in the 1990s.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from King’s College London, University of London, and obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from King’s College London and Master of Business Administration from North Easter University, USA.
